The Directors

Jon Day FIPR is a journalist and award winning PR practitioner with four decades of extensive media experience in all sectors, including newspapers and broadcasting. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and former chairman of the West of England Group and a former winner of the region’s premier Communications Award.

His co-director is Bruce Hockin MBE, also an accomplished journalist and broadcaster for more than 40 years. He was the longest service news anchorman in the history of ITV and was also a full board director of HTV.

Media Planning &Buying

Dev Chakraborty heads our media planning and buying arm, delivering access to the UK's most competitive and effective advertising media. Dev has over 18 years experience in commercial radio and print, including the position of MD at Star FM in Bristol. Dev was also part of the original team that launched the Sony award- winning Pirate FM in Cornwall. He has been on the board of the Crimestoppers Charity, Children's Hospice South West and also Chairman of the Radio Academy. 

Project Manager

Liz Gardiner previously worked on international projects for the Orange telecommunications group and delivers the highest levels of professionalism and organisational skills.  

Liz had more than 15 years experience as an executive PA before changing direction to become a fully trained project manager, during which time she has co-ordinated and managed international and European projects. She has unrivalled experience and knowledge of office systems and has provided the PR People’s clients with organisational support and advice.

 

Administration Manager

Yvonne Fairbrother provides high level administrative support, plus an effective telesales and business appointment making service for clients.

Yvonne previously worked for more than 20 years for a major High Street bank as part of its customer services team, during which time she was responsible for liaising with thousands of customers, handling banking inquiries and supporting major marketing initiatives.
